Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Wound Care Educator (RN) to advance evidence-based skin integrity, wound, and ostomy care across the organization. The educator provides education, clinical consultation, and quality improvement support to nursing staff and interprofessional partners with focus on HAPI prevention and management.

Working with nursing leadership and Skin Champions, you will standardize practice, support documentation accuracy, and improve patient outcomes through targeted education,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
• RN license valid in Michigan by hire.
• Wound Care Certification (WCC) by hire.

Responsibilities

• Designs, delivers, and evaluates wound and ostomy care education for nursing staff, including orientation, annual competencies, and targeted unit-based education.
• Serves as a clinical resource and consultant for complex, non-healing, or high-risk wounds in collaboration with bedside nurses and providers.
• Monitors wound-related quality indicators, including HAPI trends, and collaborates with nursing leadership on improvement strategies.
• Develops and maintains standardized wound and ostomy reference tools, policies, and documentation standards.
