Job summary

Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine, TX is seeking an RN for Women’s Services (Labor & Delivery) on the night shift with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and 18-month commitment. This full-time role involves evaluating patients, assisting physicians, and educating families while promoting independence and safe self-care.

The ideal candidate has Labor & Delivery experience, an associate degree and RN license, and a preference for a BSN.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Administers medications within RN scope of practice.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Represents a flexible, creative approach to tasks and goals.
• Maintains professional standards and directs patient care activities as needed.
• Typically reports to a unit manager or department head.
