Job summary

Twin County Regional Hospital in Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Women’s Services unit. This 12-bed unit offers obstetrics, gynecology and lactation support, with a dedicated team focused on compassionate, comprehensive care across life stages.

The role requires an active Virginia RN license, an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, and BLS within 30 days. ACLS/PALS/NRP and Handle With Care are preferred, with opportunities for growth and education.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• Relocation requires updating licensure to new PSOR before employment.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS & NRP and Handle With Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
