Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN for a full-time night shift on the Medical Stepdown unit. The position runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7:00pm to 7:30am, with a $20/hr WEO differential. Requires graduation from a nursing program (ADN, Diploma or BSN) and a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.

Basic Life Support is required or must be completed within 30 days of hire. The role emphasizes careful patient handling, mobility, and ongoing assessment to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure where duties performed.
• BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on the RN WEO Medical Stepdown unit during FT Night shifts.
• Adhere to unit policies and safety protocols while delivering care.

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
