Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care using the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process. You will coordinate care with other departments and uphold patient rights and confidentiality while maintaining professional accountability.

This role requires current RN licensure, graduation from an accredited RN program, and BLS certification. Weekend 7p-7a shifts with orientation and extensive unit responsibilities in the 4B Cardiac Unit are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• RN license in the hiring state or compact license and must meet state requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
• Maintain professional accountability for patient care across assigned patients.
• Work weekend shifts (Fri, Sat, Sun 7p-7a) following orientation.
• Support cardiac unit care, telemetry monitoring, and post Angio care as described in the unit focus.

The 4B Cardiac Unit, comprised of 31 beds, focuses on adult Cardiac patient, Drug loading, post Angio, CHF, vascular and medical patients. Shift schedules include days (0700-1900) and nights (1900-0700), with weekend rotation every 2 weeks. Clinical skills include:
