Job summary

Touchstone Communities at the Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home in Bulverde, TX is seeking an RN Weekend Supervisor to lead clinical teams and mentor LVNs and CNAs. The role focuses on resident-centered care, quality outcomes, and maintaining the Touchstone Experience.

You will oversee staffing, clinical oversight, and shift operations, ensuring regulatory compliance while fostering compassionate, high-excellence care for our Veterans.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Texas RN license or Compact State RN license.
• Minimum of two years of long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to resident advocacy and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing team members during assigned shifts.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality resident-centered care in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Monitor and evaluate resident conditions, responding promptly to clinical concerns and changes in condition.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for LVNs, CNAs, and other clinical team members.
• Promote a positive and collaborative work environment that supports engagement, retention, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident wellbeing and positive clinical outcomes.
• Assist with staffing coordination, clinical oversight, and shift operations.
• Support compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Foster meaningful connections with residents, families, and fellow team members through the Touchstone Experience.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a supervisory or charge nurse capacity.
• Experience working in Veterans homes, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care settings.
• Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
