Job summary

Touchstone Communities is seeking an RN Supervisor for weekend oversight at the Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home in Floresville, TX. You will lead clinical teams, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality, resident-centered care for our veterans.

The role requires a Texas RN license, 2+ years in long-term care, and demonstrated leadership. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain regulatory compliance and promote a compassionate Touchstone Experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Texas RN license or compact state license.
• Minimum of two years of long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to resident advocacy and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing team members during assigned shifts.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality resident-centered care in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Monitor and evaluate resident conditions, responding promptly to clinical concerns and changes in condition.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for LVNs, CNAs, and other clinical team members.
• Promote a positive and collaborative work environment that supports engagement, retention, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident wellbeing and positive clinical outcomes.
• Assist with staffing coordination, clinical oversight, and shift operations.
• Support compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Foster meaningful connections with residents, families, and fellow team members through the Touchstone Experience.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid Texas RN license or Compact State RN license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to resident advocacy and quality care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a supervisory or charge nurse capacity.
• Experience working in Veterans homes, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care settings.
• Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
