Job summary

Park Place Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Great Falls, MT invites an experienced RN to join a newly established subacute unit offering ventilator and trach care. The role requires Montana RN licensure (or compact), ALS certification or willingness to obtain, and a background in acute care with ICU/ER exposure preferred.

You will monitor vitals, manage ventilators, administer meds, document care, and collaborate with the medical team to ensure high-quality outcomes for residents.

Qualifications

• Active MT RN license or compact state.
• ALS certification or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks.
• Minimum 6 months acute care hospital experience; ICU/ER preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring Patient Vitals: Regularly checking vital signs and recording them.
• Assisting with Ventilator Management: Set up and adjust ventilator settings as prescribed.
• Assessing Patient Condition: Conducting assessments of respiratory status and changes.
• Administering Medications: Administer meds as ordered and monitor effects.
• Providing Respiratory Care: Tracheostomy care and nebulizer treatments.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate patient progress records.
• Communicating with Healthcare Team: Collaborate with doctors and therapists on care plans.
• Educating Patients and Families: Provide information about treatments and plans.
• Infection Control Practices: Follow protocols for patients on ventilation.
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and ventilator alarms.
