Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our 19-bed Surgical Specialties unit, caring for vascular and bariatric procedures as well as general med-surg patients. You will work in a fast-paced, diverse clinical environment with opportunities for growth and cross-training.

Responsibilities include applying evidence-based practices, collaborating with the care team, and maintaining high standards of patient safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license in Georgia (multi-state compact and/or single-state).
• BLS certification; additional education or certifications may be required by specialty.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety and quality.
• Maintains timely EHR documentation and ensures accurate records.
