Job summary

Rivendell Behavioral Health Services in Benton, AR seeks a Utilization Coordinator - PRN to perform timely clinical reviews and secure authorization for continued treatment across managed Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers. You will coordinate care, documentation and appeals to support reimbursement while ensuring quality outcomes and patient safety.

The role requires AR RN licensure or eligibility, at least two years of psychiatric chart review experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold AR RN license or be license eligible.
• Minimum of two years psychiatric experience in chart analysis and utilization review with strong communication.
• Knowledge of external review organizations, payer sources, financial planning and contracting (managed care, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions and demands.
• CPR and Handle with Care/Verbal De-escalation offered on hire; mandatory certifications.
• Ability to work harmoniously with patients, families, staff and payors; team-oriented and respectful.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely daily clinical reviews with all payer types to secure authorization for continued treatment.
• Coordinate patient care, quality documentation, appeals and reporting to support reimbursement.
• Promote positive outcomes and optimal reimbursement through utilization review.
