• Strong knowledge of medical records review processes and utilization standards.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and county regulations pertaining to patient care.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex information.
• Effective communication skills for advocating on behalf of residents and collaborating with medical providers.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with patients and their treatment needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of utilization review functions.
• Achieve the goals of clinical, financial, and utilization as set forth in the UM plan.
• Act as internal resource on issues related to the appropriate utilization of resources and coordination of care across the continuum.
• Carry out assignments in a manner to assure success in financial management, quality and operational management objectives.
• Participate in program development and unit performance improvement.
