Job summary

Civita Care Center at Danbury is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to lead a unit, assess resident needs, and develop and implement care plans. You will supervise CNAs and LPNs, ensure accurate documentation for billing, and enforce nursing policies in collaboration with physicians and staff.

The role emphasizes patient-centered leadership, infection control, and proactive care improvement, with solid communication and organizational skills essential for daily operations on the unit.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Connecticut.
• Proven leadership and supervision of nursing staff.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend therapy meetings and complete assessments of residents at admission and discharge from the unit.
• Supervise nursing personnel assigned to the Unit, including CNAs and LPNs.
• Document services rendered to residents in the Unit for billing purposes.
• Develop care plans addressing immediate nursing problems and prioritize primary nursing problems.
• Implement established nursing policies and procedures on the unit, educating nursing support staff according to facility guidelines.
• Implement care plans for residents on the unit in compliance with physician's orders.
• Review charting on a weekly basis for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain a safe working environment, complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.
• Supervise and perform treatments or venipunctures, as needed.
• Track infection control, exposure control, and resident care trends to provide proactive improvement.
