Job summary

Calvert County Nursing Center is seeking an organized RN supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities on a 24/7 basis. You will ensure staff adherence to policies and coordinate care with physicians, families, and the QA team.

The role requires an active RN license in Maryland and a nursing degree from an accredited program. Experience is preferred but not required, with a strong emphasis on resident-centered care and safety.

Qualifications

• Supervise nursing activities across a unit.
• Coordinate day-to-day care with staff and physicians.
• Evaluate care plans and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Promote strong customer service for residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24-hour resident care on assigned unit.
• Ensure staff compliance with facility policies and procedures.
• Review and update resident care plans as required.
• Complete incident/accident reports and liaise with QA and DON/ADON.
• Audit daily, weekly, and monthly activities and report findings.
• Round on the unit to ensure care needs and environment meet standards.
• Participate in committees/programs as directed.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians and families.
• Attend OSHA and CDC in-service trainings for safety and infection control.
• Ensure staff exposed to blood/body fluids receive proper training.
• Maintain records of resident grievances and actions taken.
• Participate in facility surveys by government agencies.
• Serve as a resource for nursing staff and collaborate with ADON/DON and Staff Development.
