Job summary

Cedarwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor/Unit Manager to lead nursing care in a short-stay and long-term setting. The RN delivers care under the attending physician, coordinating with residents, families, and health-team members.

Responsibilities include supervising CNAs, admitting and discharging residents, administering medications, charting, rounds, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid PA state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Current AHA health care provider training (BCLS).
• Demonstrated experience within a skilled nursing facility and ability to provide proof of such experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents as assigned.
• Administers, and records medications and treatments as assigned.
• Prepares for and assists with diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Reinforces support and provides health care instructions to patients and their families.
• Participates with other team members in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities.
• Assists in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Assists with unit management and/or assumes charge of unit as assigned.
• Directs, supervises, and assists CNAs and other nursing staff in providing bedside care.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the health care team in coordination of the resident’s care.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

PA RN License
