Fairmont Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Fairmont, WV is seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse/Unit Manager to lead the daily clinical operations of a skilled unit and support a dedicated nursing team, ensuring residents receive the highest quality care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in West Virginia or a compact state.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing excellent care while maintaining residents' dignity.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily clinical operations and ensuring quality resident care
• Supervising and supporting LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff
• Providing direct nursing care as needed, including assessments, medications, and treatments
• Monitoring residents' conditions and ensuring timely interventions
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborating with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
• Developing and implementing effective care plans
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits
• Training, mentoring, and supporting nursing staff
• Promoting a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
• Following infection control practices, facility policies, and regulatory requirements
