Fairmont Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Fairmont, WV, seeks an experienced RN Charge Nurse / Unit Manager to lead the day-to-day clinical operations of a designated unit. You will supervise LPNs, CNAs, and nursing staff, perform direct patient care when needed, and ensure high-quality resident care.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, collaboration with physicians and families, and development of care plans within regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in West Virginia or a compact state.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach.
• Ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily clinical operations and ensuring quality resident care.
• Supervising and supporting LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff.
• Providing direct nursing care as needed, including assessments, medications, and treatments.
• Monitoring residents' conditions and ensuring timely interventions.
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborating with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Developing and implementing effective care plans.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
• Training, mentoring, and supporting nursing staff.
• Promoting a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
• Following infection control practices, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
