Job summary

Star City Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an RN Unit Manager for the Rehab Unit. You will provide direct nursing care, supervise day-to-day activities, and coordinate care plans with the healthcare team to ensure quality resident care.

The role requires an active Virginia RN or LPN license, BLS, and strong customer service skills. Day-to-day duties include medication administration, patient education, and discharge planning in a residential rehab setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Virginia RN or LPN license.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• BLS certification.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Willingness to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications and document administration.
• Educate patients on procedures and record vital signs.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays; adjust as needed.
• Initiate corrective action for adverse symptoms.
• Provide bedside care for a wide range of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery.
• Record care information accurately and timely in proper formats.
• Supervise nursing assistants and licensed nurses.
