Job summary

Star City Nursing and Rehabilitation in Roanoke, VA is seeking an RN Unit Manager (RN or LPN) to oversee direct nursing care and supervise nursing staff. This full-time role requires a current Virginia RN/LPN license and BLS/CPR certification.

You will coordinate patient care with the health care team, administer medications, monitor vital signs, support discharge planning, and ensure quality care in a resident-centered facility.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Virginia RN license and CPR/BLS certifications.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise CNAs according to standards.
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team and manage medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Consult with the healthcare team to plan and evaluate patient care.
• Prepare and administer medications and document procedures.
• Provide bedside care for diverse medical patients, including pre/post-surgery.
• Record vital signs and monitor equipment; initiate corrective action as needed.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure timely documentation.
