Job summary

Elderwood at Hornell is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership for one nursing unit, coordinating with the DON, ADON, and other professionals to strengthen resident outcomes.

The role includes 24-hour oversight of the unit on a generally day-shift schedule, with support from Elderwood Administrative Services and opportunities for leadership development to advance clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care setting.
• Prior leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, Supervisor) required.
• Strong ability to lead, coach, and hold staff accountable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour oversight of your assigned nursing unit and supervise, coach, and develop nursing staff with a focus on CNA support and performance.
• Oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans and monitor clinical indicators.
• Communicate changes in condition to families and providers; manage staffing and scheduling.
