Job summary

Legacy Health and Rehabilitation seeks an experienced Unit Manager (RN) to oversee daily clinical operations of an assigned unit, supervise nursing staff, and ensure residents receive exceptional, person-centered care.

This leadership role collaborates with the Director of Nursing and the interdisciplinary team to maintain regulatory compliance, support staff development, and promote positive resident outcomes; the schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Current RN license by state required.
• At least two years of nursing experience.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication with staff, residents, and families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinical care and operations of your assigned unit.
• Supervise, guide, and support nurses and nursing assistants.
• Ensure care plans are followed and updated appropriately.
• Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to physicians and families.
• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Support infection control practices and quality assurance initiatives.
• Mentor and develop nursing staff to promote a strong clinical team.
