Job summary

ExcelCare At Wayne is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead the daily operations of a nursing unit in our skilled nursing facility. You will supervise LPNs and CNAs and ensure high-quality resident care in line with care plans and physician orders.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, demonstrates strong clinical and communication skills, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility or long-term care preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily clinical operations of the assigned nursing unit.
• Supervising, supporting, and mentoring LPNs and CNAs on the unit.
• Ensuring residents receive high-quality nursing care in accordance with care plans and physician orders.
• Monitoring resident conditions and communicating changes with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Completing and reviewing documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participating in care plan meetings and collaborating with other departments to support resident needs.
• Assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Addressing staff concerns and helping maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
