Job summary

FutureCare Associates, Inc. is seeking an RN Unit Manager to lead a nursing unit within a skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on daily operations, quality care, and coordination with physicians to maintain restorative health for residents.

Candidates must hold an active Maryland RN license, with 1–3 years of managerial experience and CPR certification. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred. Competitive salary and extensive benefits accompany this leadership position.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills a plus.
• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility.
• Must possess a current CPR license.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations within the skilled nursing unit to ensure quality service in accordance with current nursing standards of practice, FutureCare policies/procedures and State and Federal regulations.
• Oversee day-day care and maintain restorative health for our residents.
• Develop and implements resident care plans as needed.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and meet the care needs of each resident.
• Supervise, counsel, and manage performance when necessary, to nurse staff to ensure the highest quality care possible.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing and Physicians to plan and maintain resident care.
• Identify procedural problems and works with the Director of Nursing to resolve issues.
• Supervise and direct all clinical aspects of nursing practice and engage in all clinical activities.
• Acts as a main point of contact between residents and their families and addresses and prevents concerns that may arise.
• Perform audits and complete charting, evaluations, medical forms, and other administrative tasks.
