Job summary

Westminster Canterbury Richmond is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to supervise and coordinate the nursing staff, delivering high-quality care in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role requires strong leadership and clinical skills to maintain resident well-being.

You will oversee assessments, care plans, and staff performance while collaborating with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Virginia RN license is mandatory.
• Eight years nursing experience expected.
• Three years RN management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, supervise, coach, evaluate staff and set performance goals.
• Develop and monitor staff performance and staffing patterns.
• Ensure resident assessments and care plans are current.
• Administer treatments per physician orders and regulations.
• Educate staff on care plans and ensure standards are met.
• Document nursing interventions and changes in resident charts.
• Update care plans with new health information as needed.
• Lead adoption of new technologies to improve productivity.
• Promote resident-centered care and best practice initiatives.
• Communicate with residents, families, physicians, and staff.
• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled and assist with budgets.
