Job summary

Eastern Health Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to supervise care delivery, assess resident needs, and develop care plans. The role includes guiding CNAs and nursing staff, ensuring compliance with physician orders, and maintaining accurate documentation for billing and care quality.

The position emphasizes leadership, collaboration with the Director of Nursing, and ongoing process improvements to enhance patient outcomes and staff workflow in a VA facility.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with current state license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent technical, assessment and documentation skills.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Meet resident care needs and supervise nursing staff.
• Assess residents at admission and discharge and develop care plans.
• Document services for billing; maintain accurate records.
• Implement care plans per physician orders and facility policies.
• Coordinate with Nursing Director to resolve staff concerns and improve patient care.
• Ensure infection control and safe working environment.
