Job summary

The Minnesota Veterans Home (MVH)-Bemidji is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to lead the nursing unit on day shift. This role supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Nursing Assistants, ensures compliance with MDS/RAI processes, and provides clinical guidance to daily operations.

Eligible candidates must be licensed in Minnesota, with 4+ years RN experience (2 in long-term care), CPR/BLS, and strong leadership and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Minnesota RN license with no restrictions and in good standing.
• Minimum 4 years as an RN, incl. 2 years in long-term care; bachelor’s or master’s can substitute portions of experience.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Knowledge of MDS/RAI processes and ability to obtain MDS/RAI certification during probation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and staff supervision abilities.
• Proficient documentation and computer skills, incl. EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and CNAs to ensure duties are performed.
• Guiding and coordinating MDS/RAI activities per regulations.
• Providing clinical guidance and oversight for daily nursing unit operations.
• Advising on regulatory requirements within the nursing department.
