Job summary

Majestic Care of Southport is seeking a Unit Manager to lead a nursing unit within a long-term care community. The role focuses on directing staff, coordinating resident care, and ensuring high-quality outcomes, with a schedule Monday through Friday and on-call weekend rotation.

The ideal candidate is a licensed RN or LPN with at least three years of nursing experience, including one year in long-term care, and current CPR certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an LPN or RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• Active CPR license or ability to obtain within 30 days; CPR certification must be current.
• Three years of nursing experience, including at least one year in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operation of a nursing unit in a long-term care community.
• Hire, discipline, and evaluate care team members.
• Plan and facilitate meetings to address resident care issues for the unit.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate programs for recruitment, retention, and education of nursing staff.
• Coordinate with physicians to ensure timely interventions.
