Ryders Health Management's Lord Chamberlain Manor in Stratford, CT is seeking an experienced Unit Manager (RN) to lead and mentor the unit's nursing team. You will oversee daily clinical operations, ensure resident-centered care, and maintain regulatory compliance.

The role requires an active CT RN license, CPR/BLS, strong communication, and staff development skills. The position offers full-time hours (7a-3p) and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in CT required.
• CPR/BLS certification as required by facility policy.
• Strong communication and collaboration with residents, families and care team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach with leadership capabilities.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day clinical operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care.
• Supervise nursing staff and support personnel per regulations and policies.
• Develop and monitor individualized care plans with the care team.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling and resource allocation for coverage.
• Provide mentorship and training to nursing staff.
• Conduct rounds and assessments to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain clear communication with residents, families, physicians and leadership.
• Serve as unit administrator during shifts and support higher leadership in their absence.
• Participate in quality meetings and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure accurate documentation of care and staff activities.
