Job summary

West Chester Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead nursing operations on a designated unit and ensure resident-centered care. This full-time role is supported by Marquis Health Consulting Services and offers a comprehensive compensation package.

You will oversee clinical staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain high quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, valid PA RN license.
• BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing setting.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for resident care on the assigned unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to support physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure incident reporting is timely and communicated to leadership.
• Participate in facility committees and implement policies.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor care plans and regulatory compliance to achieve quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote resident-centered care.

Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Unit Manager oversees nursing operations on an assigned unit and ensures residents receive comprehensive, person-centered care.

Responsibilities for an RN Unit Manager:

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for an RN Unit Manager:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of PA.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
