FutureCare in Maryland seeks an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead a dedicated nursing team and uphold high standards of care across the unit.

You will supervise daily operations, develop care plans, coordinate with physicians, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license issued in Maryland.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills.
• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term care facility.
• Current CPR license.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily operations of assigned unit to ensure quality service in accordance with current nursing standards and FutureCare policies.
• Oversees day-to-day care and maintains restorative health for residents.
• Develops and implements resident care plans as needed.
• Evaluates, prioritizes, and meets the care needs of each resident.
• Supervises and manages performance of nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Collaborates with Director of Nursing and Physicians to plan and maintain resident care.
• Identifies procedural problems and works with the Director of Nursing to resolve issues.
• Supervises clinical nursing activities and acts as main contact between residents and families.
• Performs audits and completes charting, evaluations, medical forms, and other administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland


• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university strongly preferred


• 1- 3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills a plus


• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility


• Must possess a current CPR license
