Job summary

FutureCare is seeking an RN Unit Manager in Maryland to lead a nursing unit and uphold standards of care. You will drive daily operations, oversee resident care plans, and supervise nursing staff to deliver the highest quality care for residents.

Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and physicians while addressing issues and ensuring regulatory compliance across state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active RN license issued in Maryland is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of managerial leadership in a care setting is a plus.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the unit to ensure quality care per standards and regulations.
• Oversee day-to-day resident care and restore health while maintaining care plans.
• Develop and implement resident care plans; evaluate and prioritize needs.
• Supervise staff, provide coaching, and manage performance as needed.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing and physicians on resident planning.
• Address issues with Nursing leadership and resolve process problems.
• Oversee clinical aspects of nursing practice and direct clinical activities.
• Serve as main point of contact between residents and families; address concerns.
• Perform audits, charting, evaluations, and other admin tasks.

Salary Disclosure Statement

Competitive Salary $95K-115K/Yr. The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. All employment offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job‑related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of assigned unit to ensure quality service in accordance with current nursing standards of practice, FutureCare policies and procedures, and State and Federal regulations.
• Oversee day‑to‑day care and maintain restorative health for residents.
• Develop and implement resident care plans as needed.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and meet the care needs of each resident.
• Supervise, counsel, and manage performance when necessary, to nurse staff to ensure the highest quality care possible.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing and physicians to plan and maintain resident care.
• Identify procedural problems and work with the Director of Nursing to resolve issues.
• Supervise and direct all clinical aspects of nursing practice and engage in all clinical activities.
• Act as a main point of contact between residents and their families and address and prevent concerns that may arise.
• Perform audits and complete charting, evaluations, medical forms, and other administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills a plus.
• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long‑term health care facility.
• Must possess a current CPR license.
