Job summary

FutureCare is seeking an RN Unit Manager in Maryland to lead a nursing team and elevate resident care. You will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while guiding daily operations and care planning for residents.

The role emphasizes staff supervision, collaboration with the Director of Nursing, and ongoing performance management within a respected healthcare provider known for its benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license issued in Maryland.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of managerial experience and leadership skills a plus.
• Experience caring for residents in acute or long-term care.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily operations of unit to ensure quality care and compliance with nursing standards.
• Oversees day-to-day care and maintains restorative health for residents.
• Develops and implements resident care plans as needed.
• Evaluates, prioritizes, and meets each resident's care needs.
• Supervises and manages performance of nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Collaborates with Director of Nursing and physicians to plan resident care.
• Identifies procedural problems and works to resolve issues.
• Directs all clinical aspects of nursing practice and engages in clinical activities.
• Acts as main contact between residents and families; addresses concerns.
• Performs audits and completes charting, evaluations, and forms.

• Supervise, counsel, and manages performance when necessary, to nurse staff to ensure the highest quality care possible


• Collaborates with Director of Nursing and Physicians to plan and maintain resident care


• Identifies procedural problems and works with the Director of Nursing to resolve issues


• Supervises and directs all clinical aspects of nursing practice and engage in all clinical activities


• Acts as a main point of contact between residents and their families and addresses and prevents concerns that may arise


• Performs audits and completes charting, evaluations, medical forms, and other administrative tasks

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland


• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university strongly preferred


• 1- 3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills a plus


• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility


• Must possess a current CPR license
