North Campus Health and Rehabilitation Center in Leesburg, FL seeks an experienced RN Unit Manager to supervise resident care, develop care plans, and lead nursing staff. You will coordinate admissions/discharges, ensure accurate documentation for billing, and uphold physician orders and facility policies.

The role requires an active Florida RN license, CPR certification, and strong leadership with excellent communication.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with current state license in Florida.
One to three years related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
Current/active CPR certification.
Excellent technical, assessment and documentation skills.
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook; Internet and Intranet navigation.
Highest level of professionalism with confidentiality.
Ability to communicate at all levels and work well in a team environment in support of company objectives.
Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and manage multiple projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.
Adaptable and flexible to change.
Function independently with personal integrity and effective collaboration with staff and vendors.

Responsibilities

Supervise delivery of care to residents. Assess resident needs, develop care plans, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care, and supervise CNA’s and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care.
Complete assessments of residents at admission and discharge.
Supervise nursing staff assigned.
Document services rendered to residents for billing purposes.
Write admission notes or evaluate admission notes and chart additional essential information.
Develop care plans addressing immediate nursing problems.
Make daily rounds to monitor resident care and status.
Implement care plans for residents in compliance with physician’s orders.
Notify resident or legal representative of pending discharge 24 hours in advance.
On discharge, chart complete discharge summary and referrals.
Assign duties to LPNs and nursing assistants.
Work with Director of Nursing to resolve grievances.
Promote favorable working conditions and relationships with staff and other departments.
Handle and report disciplinary actions as needed.
Maintain accurate charting and records; monitor infection control.
Track staffing and infection control trends; propose improvements.
Inform Central Supply of supplies needed.
Other special projects and duties as assigned.
