Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license in NY (required).
• CPR certification or above.

Responsibilities

• Supervises RNs, LPNs and Nursing Assistants including orientation and performance reviews.
• Oversees nursing care, assessments, treatments and prevention of pressure ulcers.
• Manages medication administration, ordering, and storage.
• Schedules diagnostic tests and reports results to physicians.
• Ensures resident care plans are completed and updates care delivery.
• Manages unit staff assignments and precepts new staff.
• Monitors IV therapy, provides treatments and dispenses meds per policy.
• Investigates accidents and maintains incident records.
• Operates or supervises unit equipment and supports nursing staff.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.
• Maintains infection control and safety protocols.
• Prevents wandering and promotes resident safety.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
