Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Unit Manager/Director - RN to support the Director of Nursing on an assigned unit, delivering high-quality care and achieving positive clinical outcomes for patients and residents.

The role emphasizes leadership, coordination of nursing staff, collaboration with physicians and rehabilitation therapists, and efficient human resources management including overtime control and staff recruitment.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college or university.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct the overall operations, coordination and direction of nursing and patient/resident care for an assigned nursing unit.
• Ensure patient/resident care delivery aligns with Genesis HealthCare's mission, values and policies and complies with state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians and therapists to achieve optimal patient outcomes on the unit.
• Manage HR in the unit, including overtime reduction, recruiting and orienting staff, evaluating performance and applying disciplinary action when needed.
