Job summary

The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse with two (2) or more years of experience working with adults with physical or intellectual disabilities to work as the RN Unit Manager for the Developmental Services division. Here’s the exciting part - the selected candidate will qualify for a $5,000 hiring bonus!

Responsibilities include assessments, Nursing Process execution for IPP objectives, collaboration with the IDT, supervising LPNs, staff

Qualifications

• Requires current Virginia RN licensure or Compact designation.
• Two+ years of clinical experience with adults with disabilities.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Overtime/hours flexibility as needed by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide biological, psychological, and social assessments of clients.
• Apply nursing process to support IPP healthcare objectives.
• Collaborate with IDT and health professionals to meet IPP goals.
• Supervise LPNs, conduct evaluations, and provide training.
• Complete quality assurance review of client records.
• Manage schedules, monitor overtime, and participate in on-call coverage.
• Support residents and engage with community to aid services.
