Water's Edge Rehab & Nursing Center at Port Jefferson is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead the day shift and oversee the nursing unit at Port Jefferson, NY. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, resident-centered care while coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a New York State RN license, with prior supervisory or unit management experience and SNF background, demonstrating strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license required.
• Supervisory/charge nurse or Unit Manager experience preferred.
• SNF experience strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and leadership skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinical operations of the assigned nursing unit.
• Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Ensure residents receive safe, high-quality, and compassionate care.
• Monitor resident conditions, care plans, documentation, and clinical outcomes.
• Coordinate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Manage daily assignments and staffing.
• Address resident and family concerns professionally and promptly.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement and staff education initiatives.
