Job summary

Water’s Edge Rehab & Nursing Center at Port Jefferson in Port Jefferson, NY is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the designated nursing unit. You will supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs and ensure residents receive safe, high-quality and compassionate care.

The role requires an active New York State RN license with prior supervisory or Unit Manager experience, preferably in a SNF setting.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license is required.
• Supervisory or unit management experience preferred.
• SNF experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinical operations of the assigned nursing unit.
• Supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Ensure residents receive safe, high-quality care.
• Monitor resident conditions, care plans, and outcomes.

Water’s Edge Rehab & Nursing Center at Port Jefferson is seeking an experienced and dedicated RN Unit Manager to join our clinical leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong RN leader who is passionate about quality resident care and enjoys working with a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the assigned nursing unit.

• Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.

• Ensure residents receive safe, high-quality, and compassionate care.

• Monitor resident conditions, care plans, documentation, and clinical outcomes.

• Coordinate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

• Manage daily assignments and help ensure appropriate staffing.

• Address resident and family concerns professionally and promptly.

• Support compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.

• Participate in quality improvement and staff education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license required.

• Prior supervisory, charge nurse, or Unit Manager experience preferred.

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience strongly preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Compassionate, resident-focused approach.
