Job summary

Arcadia Nursing & Rehab Center in Hillsboro, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager for an 8-hour daylight shift. The RN Unit Manager will direct RNs/LPNs and CNAs, ensure accurate ADL documentation, and communicate with residents’ families in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed through the state as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Ability to perform physical tasks typically performed in RN work.
• Experience in geriatric or skilled nursing settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs licensed nurses (RNs/LPNs) and CNAs, ensuring proper documentation of ADLs.
• Interact and communicate with the family members of residents in a patient and professional manner.
• Attend weekly care plan conferences with resident families, social work, therapy, and dietary teams.
• Functions as the primary clinical point of contact for resident families during status changes, hospital transfers, or care goals updates.
• Oversees rounds with attending physicians and Nurse Practitioners, ensuring orders, labs, and specialty referrals are signed and executed promptly.
