Job summary

Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse — Unit Manager for the day shift. This full-time role requires an RN license in New York, with 1 year supervising nursing staff and 2 years in LTC/Rehab. Knowledge of MDS 3.0, DOH/CMS regulations and EHR is essential.

The RN Unit Manager will supervise staff, document medical histories, monitor vitals, and manage patient care plans while communicating with families and maintaining accurate charts.

Qualifications

• Current New York Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• 2 years of LTC/Rehab facility experience.
• 1 year of nursing supervisory experience.
• Knowledgeable in MDS 3.0, DOH/CMS regulations and EHR.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff as required.
• Record a resident’s medical history accurately.
• Take and record blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
• Observe residents under treatment to identify progress and side-effects.
• Monitor residents’ condition including fluid intake/outtake and charting.
• Administer injections and prescribed medications; wound care.
• Collect lab samples as assigned.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Communicate with residents’ family for advice and discharge instructions.
