Job summary

Eastgatespring of Cincinnati is hiring a Nurse Unit Manager to lead the care delivery on nursing units and ensure timely, compassionate care for residents. You will supervise nurses and aides, coordinate admissions, and promote appropriate care plans within a geriatric setting.

The role requires an active RN license and strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive high-quality outcomes and staff development. This is a full-time on-site leadership position.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold an active RN license.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Exhibits high-level problem solving and critical thinking.
• Leads clinical staff to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversees care delivery on nursing units and serves as resource nurse.
• Expedites patient/family adaptation to geriatric care through communication and education.
• Promotes excellent care delivery by nurses and aides.
• Monitors patient care and environment with daily rounds.
• Oversees infection control, wound care, and fall reduction processes.
• Assists with new patient admissions and care planning.
• Provides education to new or inexperienced nurse aides.
• Conducts on-the-spot in-service training.
• Assists charge nurses during busy times.
• Addresses complaints per policy.
• Performs chart audits and ensures documentation.
• Acts on Infection Control, Skin Integrity, Fall Reduction teams.
• Performs on-call services as required.
• Reports to DON and ADON.
• All other duties as delegated.
