Job summary

Allied-Services in Scranton, PA seeks a capable RN Unit Manager to oversee the 24-hour operations of a nursing unit. You will supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, ensuring delivery of high-quality resident care in line with policies and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a registered nurse with 3+ years in LTAC or Med/Surg and at least 1 year of supervision, plus PA license, CPR, and background clearance. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program or Healthcare Management preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years work experience as a Registered Nurse in a Long Term Care or Med/Surg setting.
• Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.
• Must be cleared by PA State Police Criminal History Check.
• CPR Certification required or must be obtained and maintained.
• Possession of a current RN license as issued by the PA State Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee twenty-four hour management of the nursing unit under supervision of Director/Assistant Director of Nursing.
• Supervise, coordinate, and delegate clinical duties and unit activities to ensure quality resident care.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations and unit policies.
• Manage staff such as RN, LPN, CNA, Restorative Aides, and Unit Secretary.
