Job summary

Aviata Health Group in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an RN Unit Manager to lead nursing staff and ensure high-quality resident care on the assigned unit. You will supervise Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants while providing direct resident care per established plans.

The role emphasizes staff development, data collection, and treatment planning within a patient-centered care culture. Leadership, supervision, and regulatory compliance are key components of the position.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN or LPN license.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience preferred in a similar resident population setting; at least 1 year in nursing administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage the staffing needs and provide supervision for nursing staff providing direct resident care to ensure quality resident care on the assigned unit
• Assist in staff development and supervise Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants
• Provide direct resident care in accordance with established plans
• Conduct and document a complete data collection of each resident’s medical status upon admission and throughout the resident’s course of treatment
• Assist in the development and implementation of an individualized treatment plan for each assigned resident
• Monitor compliance with resident record documentation requirements, as directed
• Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage
• Ensure compliance with resident rights policies and work with families and other staff, as needed, to resolve grievances
