Responsibilities:
- Monitor facility clinical systems to facilitate quality resident care in accordance with laws, regulations, and facility guidelines.
- Deliver basic nursing care to residents as per care plans ordered by a physician.
- Direct and develop RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to ensure high-quality care and services.
- Conduct ongoing assessments and revise care plans based on resident condition changes.
- Collaborate with ADON and DON to resolve grievances or concerns related to resident care or family issues.
- Document interventions and educational efforts accurately and timely.
- Conduct rounds to assess resident conditions and clinical practices.
- Document nursing care notes in resident charts promptly.
- Perform medication administration and IV duties as per physician orders.
- Monitor resident progress and suggest treatment plan adjustments.
- Observe and report on resident behavior, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
- Complete incident reports and monitor skin integrity to prevent pressure sores.
- Handle administrative nursing duties, including medication orders, inventory, and shift reports.
- Follow procedures for resident admission, transfer, and discharge.
- Assist in recruitment, orientation, and performance monitoring of nursing staff.
- Delegate and supervise nursing staff, ensuring effective communication and team environment.
- Monitor staff schedule adherence and job performance, providing corrective actions when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in State.
- Long Term Care experience required.
- Knowledge of Matrixcare preferred.
- Up-to-date first aid and CPR certification.
