Job summary

Excelsior Care Group is seeking an RN Unit Manager for Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Queens, NY. The role oversees nursing operations, mentors staff, and collaborates with DON/ADON to ensure regulatory compliance and excellent resident care.

With an active NY RN license and at least 2 years of SNF experience, you will lead a caring team, manage quality care, and participate in budget and discharge planning to support families and residents.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NY
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
• Proven leadership and supervisory abilities
• Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Support the DON and ADON in managing day-to-day nursing operations
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring accountability and adherence to care standards
• Respond to and elevate staff concerns or grievances as needed
• Monitor staffing levels and optimize scheduling to reduce overtime and agency reliance
• Conduct evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed
• Oversee MDS completion and contribute to discharge planning with families and care teams
• Ensure residents and families experience compassionate, individualized care
• Participate in quality assurance, budget planning, and internal committees

Salary: $115,000 – $120,000 annually, based on experience
