Job summary

The Crown Heights Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager. You will oversee daily unit operations, ensure resident care meets established standards, and support nursing staff in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.

Key responsibilities include supervising RNs and CNAs, reviewing physician orders and care plans, performing direct patient care when needed, and ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid, current RN license.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a long-term care facility.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient care effectiveness and identify issues affecting resident outcomes.
• Review and ensure daily resident care needs are met and care is delivered as planned.
• Address concerns from residents and staff to promote high-quality care.
• Supervise and guide staff nurses and CNAs to ensure completion and quality of duties.
• Make rounds of resident rooms to observe and assess well-being.
• Review physician orders and care plans to ensure they are followed correctly.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary, including administering treatments and medications.
• Remain flexible and prepared to handle any services within RN scope.

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced RN Unit Manager to join the team at Crown Heights Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brooklyn, NY. Qualifications

• Valid, current RN license.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines related to long-term care.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a long-term care facility.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required.

• Previous experience with PointClickCare software.
