Job summary

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center in New York seeks an experienced RN Unit Manager to oversee the nursing unit, lead day-to-day supervision of licensed and non-licensed staff, and maintain a continuous QA program ensuring high-quality resident care.

The role requires knowledge of nursing practices, adherence to long-term care regulations, and the ability to coordinate with other resident services.

Qualifications

• Must have a current RN license for the state of practice.
• 2 years of supervisor experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or related health care setting preferred.
• Completion of post-secondary education and ability to read, write and follow directions.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance; able to work evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties such as forms, reports, evaluations, and charting.
• Day-to-day supervision of licensed and non-licensed staff with coaching and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing unit.
• Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Make independent decisions when warranted and interact professionally with residents, families, and staff.
• Lead with knowledge of nursing practices and regulatory guidelines specific to long-term care.

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation & Healing Center is looking to hire a RN Unit Manager to join their team.

$5,000 Sign on Bonus

RN Unit Manager Job Description:

• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary
• Day to Day Supervision of Licensed and Non-Licensed staff, including counseling/disciplinary action, evaluations, one-to-one in service, suspension/terminations
• Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing unit
• Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents total regimen of care
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.

RN Unit Manager Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have a current RN license for the state of practice.
• 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility preferred
• Completion of post-secondary education and be able to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance as requires.
• Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish this position.
• Must be able to adjust to a flexible schedule to include evenings, nights and weekend work hours.

Salary Range: upto $120,000 a year

Based on Experience (Salaried Position)
