Job summary

Bishop Drumm Retirement Center in Johnston, IA is seeking an RN Unit Manager to lead a nursing team focused on high-quality geriatric care. You’ll collaborate with the Director of Nursing, supervise staff, and ensure medication administration, documentation, and regulatory compliance are at the center of daily operations.

You must hold an Iowa RN license, CPR certification, and have at least one year of supervisory and geriatric clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license.
• CPR Certification.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of recent clinical experience in geriatric nursing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain objectives and standards of care.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, including daily rounds and addressing clinical needs.
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with nursing policies and procedures.
• Participate in resident care conferences and maintain open communication with residents, families, and staff.
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor to the team, fostering professional growth.
