Job summary

Ambassador Healthcare at College Park in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership and support to our nursing team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality resident care and developing a strong, empowered nursing staff.

You will oversee daily clinical operations, mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, support MDS and QAPI initiatives, and participate in recruitment and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of skilled nursing facility experience.
• Prior leadership or management experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily clinical and operational activities of the assigned nursing unit
• Supervise, mentor, coach, and support nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and facility policies
• Monitor staffing needs and assist with reducing overtime and agency utilization
• Address employee concerns, performance issues, and staff development needs
• Participate in QAPI initiatives and quality improvement efforts
• Evaluate staff competencies and provide ongoing education and training
• Support the MDS process and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on resident care and discharge planning
• Assist with recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and resident-centered nursing environment

Salary: $77,500-$87,500 annually
