Job summary

Novara Healthcare Services seeks an RN Unit Manager / Nurse Manager to oversee daily nursing operations, supervise staff, and support resident care in a skilled nursing facility.

This day-shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, full-time role emphasizes regulatory compliance, charting, and leadership of the nursing unit.

Qualifications

• Active NY Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Prior RN Supervisor or Unit Manager experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Basic computer and EMR documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and daily unit operations
• Ensure compliance with DOH, CMS, and facility policies
• Oversee care plans, clinical documentation, and chart audits

RN Unit Manager Overview

The RN Unit Manager is responsible for the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of a nursing unit in a skilled nursing / long-term care facility. This role provides leadership, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports high-quality resident care.

RN Unit Manager Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and daily unit operations
