Job description

Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehab is seeking a Full-time 7a-3p RN Unit Manager for their Allentown location.

Licensure Differential for 5 years' experience

Sign on Bonus for all FT/RPT LPNs & RNs

  • $3/hr weekend differential
  • every other weekend and holiday rotation
  • Position available: FT Supervisor/Unit Manager 7-3 & 7-3 RN Unit Manager

This is a professional nursing position with twenty-four (24) hour responsibility of all resident care activities, including staff and environmental issues, of an assigned nursing unit of Cedarbrook Nursing Homes. This position promotes our vision for individualized resident care. A position in this class is responsible for assuring all state and federal regulations regarding resident care are met. The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager coordinates the 24-hour care for each resident including medical, nursing, social and ancillary services.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and oversees a plan of care for each resident which promotes the resident's highest level of practicable functioning and is developed in collaboration with the resident.
  • Coordinates all aspects of resident care with physicians and residents.
  • Monitors quality improvement through utilization of quality indicators and resident care and treatment audits.
  • Promotes and guides problem solving related to resident, family and staff issues.
  • Directs the 24-hour care of resident through staff assignments, coordination of ancillary department scheduling with interdisciplinary team/departments.

Training & Experience:

  • Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • PA DOH Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing.
  • Two to three years professional nursing experience in an institutional setting.
  • Or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience which has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities cited above.
  • At least two years of nursing supervisory experience.
